Strange...
Fallen comrades? More like Assassinated Scapegoats without fair trial.

There are MANY users doing it that have not been banned. I never got any warning whatsoever and never spammed. Why Digg thinks its cool to pick on the people in the middle I will never know.
They have no problem with people using auto bury scripts or the mass of political bots on digg. Why now they ban so many with no chance to save the accounts makes no sense.
I guess when your being paid by a political faction to help there party. You really dont have to give a damn about the real users who spend hour after hour every day looking at you site.

Just from the comments here, Stumble Upon, Reddit, and on the Digg submission you can tell that Digg had and still has (for those friends who have not been axed) some great people on their site.
I am sure that I will see you all on the other sites though.
Feel free to register at http://www.VOTEmotion.com
Emote it! :)
I am not sure if I will continue to use it however, due to loss of the many friends that I had on my 'tneilen' account which have been banned or left due to the mass bannings.
Digg is scum and there house of cards will fall.
I hope to see some new fans show up in my inbox that have familiar names. ;)
I have never threatened or harassed anybody. I believed I was banned once for posting a story that was on Fox News about the Israeli spy ring prior to 911 but I don't know for sure. Digg never gives you an explanation on why you are banned. I think what happens is people who disagree with your opinions complain to Digg that you are being offensive, after Digg receives so many complaints then you get banned. This is how the bury brigade works. They openly brag about banning users who they disagree with.
You are most welcome.....
My name is Cyril van der Haegen and I am the author of the image used on top (the grim reaper vs. the white bunny). I don't mind if people actually use my image for non-profit purposes, but I ask they mention my name and/or link to my website (www.tegehel.org)
Thanks,
C.
You all admit to scripting yet hold up your sweaty palms crying "boo hoo, we only murdered a couple of guys, why electrocute us, what about the serial killers?"
Boo hoo, you'll all fry !!
digg doesn't look at the bright side of these scripts ..
OK it makes people digg from places with no widgets . but HELLO
SOCIAL media is supposed to be easily handled place not somewhere you have to Click hundreds of links to get to the final link you need .
What i'm thinking about Right now ..
*Screw The Titans .. here comes the Midgets*
GOOD RIDDANCE!
Load multiple pages from new submissions and digg every one. You can EASILY digg a thousand stories a day. Digg will look at the activity and ban you for "suspected" use of a script.
As to the banning of some users and not others who HAVE used scripts, and have ADMITTED to Digg that they used scripts, this constitutes unequal application of contractual obligations (you enter a contract when you agree to the TOS, and Digg is duty bound to apply the terms of the contract to everyone in exactly the same way), which in effect invalidates the contract itself (TOS). By virtue of U.C.C., they have breached their own contract and have left themselves open to a class-action lawsuit whereupon users who have been banned for ANY reason can sue for damages for lost time invested, etc.
Regardless of whether or not there is a clause that they can, at their sole discretion, decide to ban (or not ban) a user if they violate the TOS, the courts look at past performance and the overall pattern of how they respond to violations in making a determination.
This is what happens when Jay and Kevin think that their MIT degrees make them qualified as CEOs and legal experts.
i was user chocfever212 and also got deleted. no script though !!

really missing my name
Moving to MIXX
Of these 150 Banned Diggers over half (77 to be exact) were on the Social Blade Top 1000 Users site. 5 of those 77 were in the top 100. This means that 73 people who were banned from Digg who were not on the Top 1000 list, as far as this list is concerned.
Where did the names on the list come from?? On the Social Blade site, they turned the banned user red with the strikeout through it. The rest of the list came from this site. .
Two names on the list are prominent, they are ZoomTechTV and Zaibatsu. ZTTV stated here that he resigned from Digg, Zaibatsu was banned for allegedly posting a link to a spam site. How many others on the list did not use a script or bot, yet still were banned is unknown. Surely there were some.
I received a laugh over Babblin 5's reply for he is right, but there are (or were) easier ways to go by using one screen. All it involves is using the upcoming and front pages -- then clicking away like a madman. You could easily digg 4000 posts in one day and still have time for naps, eating, showering and watching a little TV. :)
Basically I told Kevin and crew to Digg this! Here is the URL if you care to include it in the post. http://www.keywebdata.com/?p=80
They did not just delete the account, they banned me by IP address, so I can never come back and that is fine with me. My inbox is no longer overflowing with Digg spam, I do not care how many Diggs I have or worry about being banned.
I don't have to constantly answer and Digg shouts just so I can get mine Dugg in the never ending Digg race to the elusive front page.
Tell Digg Digg to Digg this and move on. It is only a matter of time before Google devalues this game and your Digg SEO manipulation gets you banned from Google too.
here is interesting conversation between me and Zaibatsu http://www.pak-times.com/2008/09/22/zaibatsu-sh...
a. the top stories of the day (business, geopolitics, finance, occasional politics)
b. a smattering of extremely interesting and perhaps otherwise hard to find 'interest' pieces
c. a good deal of news with appeal to the core demo (teen and 20-somethings) e.g. pc games, technology news, maybe some movie news etc.
Now, every fu*&$(% thing is a left-wing circle jerk about Obama or against McCain/Palin. Hey, if that's the true user demo of digg, then more power to them, but it's driving a lot of people away. I suspect that it's not; I suspect that the rampant politicization of the site is due to a relatively small cadre of manipulators and digg networkers. Maybe these cleaning operations will help things out.
It's an ironic statement given the party that is so clearly supported on the front-pages, but digg feels less and less 'democratic' with each passing day. If I wanted liberal (or, for that matter, conservative) news, I'd go to huffingtonpost (nationalreview)
Here's hoping that some of the old spirit of digg comes back. Because otherwise, I'm about ready to walk away from this site and not look back.
The individual referring to the Uniform Commercial Code in the context of digg and TOS is a clown. UCC does not in any way apply to the lega frameworks involved in the use of digg. I'm going to guess ... 2L?
(digg...grrrrrrrr! get us addicted then whammo, cut off! *%$&_%$)
Rest in peace, Anti-Socials
I am working on a site which try to solve many of the problems with digg.com.
You can find it on http://crowdnews.eu.
The main problem with digg is the voting system.
When only top voted stories get on the front page it has
to be a subject that many can relate to,
which result in stories with a low information content.
Crowdnews solves this by using sharing instead of voting.
Every have a personal news page on which they can subscribe to other users and when those users share stories they will appear on the personal news page.
Join me on CrowdNews
